Bollywood : The Dark Reality behind glamour

Ceasefire between Pakistan and India has occurred, but there is a very little chance that Pakistan’s terrorist activities will be ceased.
But even in such dire circumstances, how many of our so-called international actors openly condemned these attacks? How many of them firmly stood behind the Indian army? Very few!

The war isn’t only being fought on the border—it’s ongoing in the world of information too. And it’s extremely disheartening to admit that we are truly falling behind in making our voice heard globally. Pakistan is shamelessly spreading blatant lies across the world—without any proof! At such times, shouldn’t those actors and singers, whom our country turned into stars, at least post a simple story or tweet in support of our army?

This isn’t a sudden development, and this “Urduwood” bias isn’t being revealed for the first time. They have repeatedly displayed their hidden love for Pakistan. Unfortunately, due to our lack of critical thinking and our obsession with idol worship, we’ve failed to recognize it in time. Now in the aftermath of the Operation Sindoor, we’ll look at examples of how Urduwood has tried to propagate specific narratives through movies.

1) The terrorist is never Pakistani!

In many of their films, the terrorist is conveniently shown to be from Iraq, Syria, etc. This helps both foreign Islamic countries that support Pakistan—like Bangladesh and Turkey—and also pro-Pakistan sympathizers within India to comfortably digest the storyline. If the terrorist is shown as a Pakistani or a Muslim, a balance is immediately created by portraying an Indian character negatively. Often, the heroine is shown as an ISI agent who eventually sides with the hero in the name of “truth”! Movies like Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger, and Tiger Zinda Hai fall in this category.

Bollywood Exposed 1

It is crystal clear that groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistani Army, their intelligence agency ISI, and the government—all work hand in glove to carry out terrorist acts. Yet, Urduwood never misses a chance to whitewash Pakistan’s image and deceive Indian citizens.

2) The false narrative of “Main Hoon Na”

What’s the plot of this movie? India and Pakistan are about to sign a peace agreement called “Project Milaap,” but a former Indian army officer, Raghavan (played by Suniel Shetty), now turned terrorist, opposes it! He’s shown as the villain. Where’s the logic in this?

Every Indian wants peace, but since its inception, Pakistan has consistently engaged in anti-India activities. The wars of 1947, 1965, 1971, 1999 were all started by Pakistan. When they couldn’t defeat India in conventional warfare, they started using terrorism as a tool. Be it 1993, 1989, 2001, 2008, 2016, 2019, 2020, or even 2025 (projected), Pakistani terrorists were involved in all major attacks. Despite all this, Bollywood creates fictitious stories where an Indian is shown as the enemy of peace and a terrorist—using sacred names like Ram (Shah Rukh), Lakshman (Zayed), and Dashrath (Naseeruddin) to push the narrative!

3) Pakistani heroines & ISI agents as romantic leads

In movies like Veer-Zaara, Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger, the female lead is often Pakistani. As mentioned earlier, she is often also shown as an ISI agent. Cinema plays a huge role in shaping our definitions of love, romance, and relationships. It’s no secret who we’ve crowned the “King of Romance.”

When the heroine is Pakistani—and an ISI agent at that—it creates a fertile ground for “honey trap” scenarios. These movies indirectly justify the entrapment of Indian soldiers and officers for sensitive information. Just look at the number of Indian personnel compromised in such traps—it’s extremely alarming.

Many people naively say, “Movies are just for entertainment; don’t take them seriously.” But cinema is a powerful medium that subtly implants ideas, deeply impacts mindsets, and plays a significant role in setting social and political narratives. We’ve all seen how Hollywood serves American interests through storytelling.

Those with strong knowledge of history, politics, international relations, internal security, and the Indian armed forces won’t be fooled by this propaganda. But most people don’t have such expertise—it’s not their domain, and that’s understandable. But this very ignorance is what these filmmakers exploit.

Fandom or Worship?

To make matters worse, we have a huge population of blind fans who treat these stars as gods—believing everything they show, say, and do. That’s why these stars are so successful in pushing their agenda.

The silence of Indian actors in such movies can be explained by their financial and social calculations. No one can deny that. But apart from that, morally, ethically, spiritually, and from a human perspective—if they reflect deeply—they must ask themselves: between the two countries, which one are they truly loyal to?

We will explore this question in future articles through in-depth analysis. In this article, we have highlighted only a few films. In upcoming pieces, we will analyze other films and the public statements made by these stars, so that you, the reader, can make informed decisions.

Bollywood Loves Pakistan

In the end, it’s worth noting that international celebrities like Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Quentin Tarantino have clearly voiced their support for Israel against Hamas. Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan—whose entire careers depend on India—don’t hesitate at all to openly take pro-terrorist, anti-India stances.

The only ones hesitating are our own ungrateful “stars,” raised by us, and thriving on our money.
